  • Director of People Experience

    Circ is looking for a leader to join our team as Director of People and Experience. In a fast-growing startup, this position will lead recruiting, HR, and all of the programs to support and service the needs of our fantastic team.     QUALIFICATIONS

    • 10+ years experience in people operations and human resources leadership in a high-growth, innovative environment

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Our People leader can expect to perform some or all of the following:

    • Lead the People and HR functions, owning all employee-related programs in collaboration with the Circ executive team

  • Director of Corporate Development

    As the Director of Corporate Development at Circ you will be responsible for developing new, and fostering existing, industry relationships to identify growth opportunities for Circ. This will require foundational skills in market and financial analysis and excellent interpersonal communication skills. We are looking for someone with a great work ethic of loyalty, integrity, pride, perseverance, accountability, respect and teamwork.

    This position reports to the Chief Business Officer. The ideal candidate is a great communicator and can handle brand partner management, strategy, research, investor relations, and more.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor Degree required, Masters/MBA preferred
    • Proven success in Corporate Development roles for 10+ years
    • Significant expertise in structuring contracts and leading negotiations
    • Financial modeling capabilities to support strategic investment decisions
    • Proven track record of taking ideas to execution phase
    • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to establish and maintain working relationships with customers, colleagues and partners.
    • Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and takes initiative to design processes and programs internally

    RESPONSBILITIES

    The Director of Corporate Development can expect to perform some of or all of the following:

    • Build and maintain relationships with supply chain partners and brands
    • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new growth opportunities
    • Perform ongoing market trend analyses, identify emerging technologies, and conduct strategic assessments of adjacent and transformational growth initiatives
    • Continuously engage with the broader innovation and technology ecosystem (e.g. Startups, Academia, Venture, and Accelerators)
    • Counsel to senior executives on “needle moving” growth drivers, strategic acquisitions and partnerships, portfolio optimization, etc in pursuit of growth
    • Develop business plans, financial forecasts, valuation models and returns analyses
    • Collaborate on cross-divisional projects with people at different levels throughout the organization

  • Director of Supply Chain

    Circ is looking for an ambitious, dynamic, self driven Director of Supply Chain. We are looking for someone with a great work ethic of loyalty, integrity, pride, perseverance, accountability, respect and teamwork.

    This opportunity reports to the Chief Business Officer. In this role you will be responsible for mapping the supply and availability feedstock to support the first Circ facility. You will be responsible for negotiating with brands and supply chain partners for their waste.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • BA in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or similar relevant field
    • Previous working experience as a Supply Chain Manager for 10+ years
    • Critical thinker with advanced problem-solving skills
    • Experience designing, negotiating, and executing multi-million dollar contracts
    • Great interpersonal and communication skills
    • Customer relationship management experience
    • Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and takes initiative to design internal processes and programs
    • Previous experience (or the mindset) working in a startup environment is preferred
    • Previous experience working in the fashion supply chain and/or with fashion brands is preferred

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Director of Supply Chain can expect to perform some of or all of the following:

    • Work with the Corporate Development team to build and maintain good relationships with feedstock vendors
    • Manage inbound queries to build out a vendor database
    • Organize a feedstock supply study for the first commercial facility and follow on facilities
    • Negotiate terms and secure feedstock supply for the first facility from vendors (supply chain, brands, and waste aggregators)
    • Secure intermittent feedstock for ongoing pilot trials and capsule collections
    • Monitor market activity and conduct feedstock pricing studies
    • Liaise with operations teammates and third parties to manage feedstock logistics throughout the supply chain
    • Design and execute Circ’s supply chain strategy, including definition of critical KPIs
    • Suggest solutions for process improvements
    • Work with finance, sales, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors
    • General business activities supporting the Chief Business Officer

  • Project Manager I

    In this role, the successful candidate will take a leading role to support and coordinate with the processing team and the material QA/QC team to ensure the CircTM cellulosic material and the products will meet the Circ’s manufacturing partners and/ or the business clients requirements.

  • Asia Supply Chain Manager

    In this role, the successful candidate will take a leading role to communicate, set up the manufacturing plan with supply chain partners, tracking progress to support Circ tier 1 (such as yarn products), and Circ tier 2 (such as fabrics for apparel or backpack; footwear upper etc.) product development to meet Circ clients requirements.

  • Laboratory Technician

    As part of our exciting growth phase, Circ is seeking a Laboratory Technician who can perform testing on a number of laboratory instruments, work in a safe manner, keep good records in lab notebook and conduct analysis on data as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Self-starter with energy and enthusiasm for solving challenges independently and with teammates.
    • Comfortable handing solvents, acids, bases and other chemicals with the appropriate PPE
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational school diploma highly preferred.
    • High interest in laboratory instruments and analyzing data.
    • Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable lab safety and OSHA regulations.
    • Previous material characterization and laboratory experience is a plus.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    A Laboratory Technician can expect to perform some of or all of the following:

    • Follow standard operating procedures outlined for the various instruments
    • Precise and accurate sample preparation and recording relevant information in laboratory notebook
    • Conducts (with team members) lab safety inspections,
    • Attention to detail for each instrument so to obtain accurate and repeatable data.

  • Senior Accountant

    Circ is looking for an initiative-taking, process-oriented, Senior Accountant to join our team. The role’s primary focus is on the day-to-day recording and accuracy of financial transactions. The ideal candidate will show flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments and work in a fast-paced environment with a positive can-do attitude.

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in a similar position
    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
    • Demonstrated experience in MS Office, and other software applications such as Quickbooks, Netsuite, Bill.com/Airbase, Divvy, Expensify, PO systems.
    • ERP implementation experience is a PLUS
    • Physical inventory, cycle count program, and fixed asset inventory experience is a plus
    • Self-motivated planning and organization skills; ability to handle concurrent tasks, meet deadlines, and accurately communicate progress
    • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
    • Ability to build relationships
    • Must be a team player and work cooperatively across the organization
    • Detail-oriented and a critical thinker

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and perform all aspects of PO’s, A/P, and A/R
    • Perform all aspects of month-end close: record bank and credit card activity, reconcile accounts, book Journal Entries, ensure accuracy of financial statements
    • Manage various systems such as QuickBooks, PO systems
    • Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed
    • Participate in special improvement projects (i.e., system implementation)
    • Think critically and suggest ways we can add efficiencies, improve/automate processes and systems
    • Ensure GAAP compliance
    • Prepare and provide various financial reports to Management
    • Assist with tax requests, audit requests, and other compliance needs
    • Collaborate with Circ Operations team and outside Consultants on projects
