  • New partnership adds major fiber producer to Circ’s commercialization ecosystem, accelerating the scale-up of textile-to-textile recycled polyester

Danville, Virginia (September 1, 2026) — Circ®, a global leader in textile-to-textile recycling, today announced a new offtake agreement with BHF, a leading specialty polyester fiber innovator. This agreement significantly expands the company’s ability to bring recycled polyester into mainstream fiber production.

Under the agreement, BHF will utilize Circ® PET chip in the commercial manufacture of textile-to-textile staple fiber, integrating Circ’s recycled polyester directly into its industrial production systems. The partnership establishes BHF as a new downstream conversion partner for Circ materials and strengthens the company’s access to large-scale fiber manufacturing capacity in China, one of the world’s most important textile production regions.

The collaboration enables higher volumes of textile-to-textile recycled polyester to move into global supply chains. It also broadens the number of qualified industrial partners capable of converting Circ’s outputs into fiber used by mills, brands, and apparel manufacturers worldwide.

"Advancing textile-to-textile recycling at a meaningful scale depends not only on technological innovation, but on strong manufacturing partners who have the expertise to translate innovation into commercial impact,” said Peter Majeranowski, CEO of Circ. “BHF’s position as a leading global polyester producer in partnership with Circ’s technology creates a substantive opportunity to integrate circular materials into global supply chains."
Peter MajeranowskiCEO, Circ

BHF operates an integrated industrial platform spanning advanced fiber production, functional materials, and recycled polyester manufacturing. The company has invested heavily in high-performance textile solutions and brings established expertise in direct-melt spinning, differentiated fiber development, and large-scale polyester production.

“This offtake agreement leverages Circ’s textile recycling technology and BHF’s established fiber manufacturing expertise to accelerate the adoption of circular polyester at a commercial scale. Together, we will be able to provide global brands with high-quality, reliable materials while building a more circular and resilient textile supply chain.”
George QiaoCEO, BHF

The agreement will support the qualification and validation of Circ® Polyester in commercial staple fiber applications. By directly connecting Circ’s textile-to-textile PET with industrial fiber manufacturing, the partnership reduces dependence on virgin fossil-based inputs while increasing the availability of polyester derived from post-consumer and post-industrial textile waste.

The collaboration also reflects Circ’s broader commercialization strategy: building a distributed network of manufacturing partners across key regions. By working with established producers embedded in major apparel supply chains, Circ is creating multiple pathways for its recycled materials to enter global production systems and accelerating the industry’s transition toward circular materials.
