  • New polyester partnership strengthens Circ’s growing network of fiber manufacturing partners and accelerates the commercial adoption of textile-to-textile recycled polyester

Danville, Virginia (August 25, 2026) — Circ®, a global leader in textile-to-textile recycling, has entered into a partnership agreement with Shenghong Chemical Fiber New Material Co., Ltd. to advance the commercial production of polyester filament yarn made with Circ’s textile-to-textile recycled materials.

Through the agreement, Shenghong will purchase Circ® PET chip to manufacture recycled-content filament yarn at commercial scale. The partnership expands Shenghong’s access to textile-to-textile recycled inputs while creating an additional pathway for Circ’s recovered polyester to reach the market through one of China’s leading fiber producers.

By combining Circ’s recycling technology with Shenghong’s manufacturing capabilities and market reach, the collaboration will broaden the availability of circular polyester materials for global fashion brands, textile mills, and other supply-chain partners. It also brings production closer to one of the world’s most important apparel and textile regions, helping support wider commercial adoption.

“Scaling textile-to-textile recycling requires more than breakthrough technology. It requires strong manufacturing partners with the technical expertise, capacity, and market reach to bring circular materials into the mainstream,” said Peter Majeranowski, CEO of Circ. “Shenghong brings all three. Together, we are creating a more direct path from discarded textiles to new fibers that brands can use at meaningful scale.”

Shenghong Chemical Fiber New Material Co., Ltd., part of Shenghong Holding Group, operates an integrated platform spanning new materials and advanced textile manufacturing. The company has significant experience in differentiated functional fibers, recycled polyester, and direct-melt spinning technology, making it well positioned to support the commercialization of next-generation circular polyester products.

“This collaboration combines Circ’s textile recycling technology with Shenghong’s fiber manufacturing capabilities to help move circular polyester from innovation to broader commercial use. We look forward to working together to deliver high-quality materials that meet the needs of global brands and support the industry’s transition toward more circular production.”

The agreement is designed to help validate Circ® Polyester across commercial filament applications and establish a repeatable manufacturing model for future growth. By linking textile waste recovery with large-scale fiber production, Circ and Shenghong aim to reduce dependence on virgin fossil-based inputs and increase the availability of recycled polyester made from discarded clothing and other textile feedstocks.

The collaboration also reinforces Circ’s broader strategy of building regional manufacturing partnerships around the world. By working with established producers near major fashion supply chains, Circ can support customers with more localized access to circular materials while laying the groundwork for long-term global expansion.

ABOUT CIRC:
Circ is proving that textile recycling is scalable. With patented textile-to-textile recycling technology, Circ turns discarded polycotton blended fabric into virgin equivalent material. By separating and recovering polyester and cellulose from polycotton, Circ’s breakthrough technology is among the first market-tested solutions for one of the industry’s most common and least recyclable materials.

Headquartered in Danville, Virginia, with its first industrial-scale facility underway in France, Circ is building the infrastructure for a circular fashion economy at global scale. The company’s technology is backed by leading global investors and its materials, Circ® Lyocell and Circ® Polyester, are already in use through collaborations with leading brands spanning luxury through mass market.
